Tuscaloosa is the fifth most populous city in Alabama, located in the west-central region of the state, on the banks of the Black Warrior River. It is also known as the “Druid City” because of all the water oaks planted in its downtown streets since the 1840s. The residents just call it T-Town, show for Title Town. Another crazy thing in T-Town is the phrase “Roll Tide”. This, has no meaning, yet can explain all things imaginable in the universe! If you’re at a loss for words on some occasion and can’t seem to figure out what to say, just nod and say “Roll Tide” and things will just move on as if nothing really happened. “Roll Tide” has such a universal meaning, ESPN made a whole commercial on it!
